There are two bills now making their way through the New Jersey State Assembly and Senate whose passage would be a step forward in preventing brain injury. General Assembly Bill Number 3346 and Senate Bill Number 2529, both raise the age under which bicycle, roller skate, and skateboard helmets must be worn from under 14 to under 17 years of age.
Both bills are pending consideration by the entire State Senate. It is the goal of the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey to have these bills voted on by the entire State Senate on June 20th.
Please contact Kathy Crotty, Executive Director for the Senate Democrat office and ask that she respectfully request Senate President Codey to post General Assembly Bill No. 3346 and Senate Bill No. 2529 for consideration by the State Senate on June 20th.
