Bruce H. Stern

Mr. Stern, shareholder and member of the Personal Injury Group, concentrates his practice in the area of brain and spinal cord injuries, and wrongful death. Mr. Stern is a past president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America – New Jersey, and past chair of both the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group and the Motor Vehicle, Premises and Highways Section of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. In addition he is Treasurer of both the International Brain Injury Association and the North America Brain Injury Society and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey. Mr. Stern is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Neurolaw Letter, an international newsletter providing information to professionals who work with survivors of brain and spinal cord injuries and their families and Parliamentarian of the American Association for Justice. Mr. Stern is a past president of the Mercer County Bar Association. He serves on the Executive Board of the Civil Trial Section and of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He has also served as National Associate Editor for National Trial Lawyer, as State Editor for New Jersey Trial Lawyer, and is Chair of In Brief, for ATLA-NJ. Mr. Stern is listed in the sixth, seventh and thirteenth editions of Who’s Who in the Law. The author of numerous articles and a frequent lecturer on the subject of traumatic brain injury litigation, evidence and trial techniques, Mr. Stern received his B.A., cum laude, from Duke University in 1977, with a major in Public Policy Sciences and his J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers School of Law, Camden, in 1981. Mr. Stern is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by both the New Jersey Supreme Court and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Civil Model Jury Charge Committee.

 

Albert M. Stark

Mr. Stark, a shareholder, practices in the Personal Injury Group. A member of the firm since 1964, he concentrates on the more seriously injured client, many of whom have suffered severe brain injuries.

Mr. Stark is the author of Beyond the Bar – Challenges in a Lawyer’s Life. He is a member of the Mercer County, New Jersey State, and American Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Mercer County Estate Planning Council. He has been qualified as an Arbitrator with the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey since 1985, and has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. Prior to joining Stark & Stark, he was an Assistant to the Governor. Mr. Stark has also served as Assistant City Attorney, and Assistant County Prosecuting Attorney.

He was named the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce’s 1998 Citizen of the Year. In addition, he was the host of “Law Line…” on WHWH for which he received the First Prize Media Award of the New Jersey State Bar Association for radio broadcasting. At present, he is the host of “In the Public Interest” on WIMG radio, a program bringing topics of current importance to the community, as well as appearing as a Comcast Newsmaker. The New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association recognized Mr. Stark with a Trial Bar Award in 2000. He has also written extensively in the areas of the brain injured client, pro bono work and other legal issues.

Mr. Stark received a B.A., majoring in Political Science, from Dartmouth College in 1960 and an LL.B. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1963.

 

Michael G. Donahue, III

Michael G. Donahue, III, is a Shareholder with the Personal Injury Group. Mr. Donahue is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and to the United States District Court, New Jersey.

Mr. Donahue is a member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America-New Jersey (ATLA-NJ). He is a also a member of the American Inn of Court, Mercer County as well as the Mercer County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations. Mr. Donahue publishes and lectures frequently regarding tort liability issues as well as trial and settlement techniques.

Mr. Donahue serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Boheme Opera New Jersey. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Trenton YMCA and the Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra.

A 1989 graduate of Rutgers College at Rutgers University with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics, Mr. Donahue earned his J.D. at Rutgers School of Law, Camden, in 1994.
