I recently received an email from a colleague at Craig Hospital in Colorado which is a leading hopital in rehabilitation and research regarding spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries.

Kenny Hosack, Craig’s Director of Provider Relations, recently finished chairing a task force responsible for revising the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation Medical Treatment Guidelines for Traumatic Brain Injury. The committee’s work is now complete and the 82 page Guidelines will be Rule in Colorado on May 1st, 2005.

These guidelines could prove helpful in workers’ compensation cases in other states as well as in disputes with health insurers over appropriate treatment for working individuals who suffer a traumatic brain injury.

You can view the new guidelines at the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s website.
