Ahhh, football season is almost here, and as a inevitable byproduct of the game, so are player concussions. WFIE – TV 14 in Evansville Indiana produced a story about the serious effects concussions have on football players.
Concussions are the mildest, yet most common type of traumatic brain injury, but that does not mean they are not serious.
The story listed some interesting facts such as:
two million new cases of concussions are reported each year
90 percent of concussion victims do not pass out. Many believe that passing out is necessary for a person to suffer a concussion.
