The use of anatomical models in trials

I represent a young boy who was severely injured at the age of six weeks when shelving collapsed above him. As a result of the collapse, a plastic advertisement fell and pierced his skull and brain. Years later, there is still a hole in the child's brain.

To best demonstrate this severe injury to a jury, I retained Medical Modeling, a Colorado company which was able to construct an anatomical model using the MRI images of my client. Their model is an exact replica of the child's brain.

While the defendant's "medical experts" have given the opinion that there is nothing wrong with this child, it is doubtful a jury would accept that testimony when it views this model.
