More on Progesterone and Brain Injury
As a follow up to a recent post, here is a story from WSBTV in Atlanta. In 2004, Robert Smith suffered a severe head injury as a result of an accident. According to Smith, "My best prognosis at that point was I would be a vegetable, because my brain was a 3 on a scale of 1 to 15.” His wife agreed to allow him to be part of the progresterone study that was being done at Grady Memorial Hospital's Trauma Unit. Smith credits the study for saving his life.
