Interesting Information About Brain Injury

I just read the November 2005 issue of Brain Injury, the Official Research Journal of the International Brain Injury Association. This month's issue contains numerous articles which would be of great interest to medical providers, survivors and their families, as well as to neurolaw attorneys. It is my hope over the next week to be able to summarize these articles and post those summaries on our blog.

By way of example, the issue contained an excellent article by Mooney, et al looking at the factors related to recovery after mild traumatic brain injury. Dr. Teasdale has published what I hope to be just one of many articles looking at the well being and quality of life following TBI in adults based on his long term population follow-up study.

From a neurolaw perspective there were two excellent articles, one looking at public attitudes toward survivors of brain injury and an article by Guilmette, et al entitled "The Influence of Victim Characteristics on Potential Juror's Perceptions of Brain Damage and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury."

Please check back to read some of the summaries which I will post over the next week.
