Overcoming the Barriers of Daubert-Fries to the Admissibility of Modern Neuroscience

I just returned from Denver, Colorado where it is 3 degrees and snowing. I had the pleasure of being featured speaker at the Traumatic Brain Injury and Emotional Injury Summit. I was invited to speak on the topic of “Overcoming the Barriers of Daubert-Fries to the Admissibility of Modern Neuroscience.”

The presentation focused on the evidentiary issues required to present expert testimony. The presentation also discussed the necessity for expert testimony based on sound scientific methodology. The lecture also directed attorneys on how to keep junk science out of the courtroom.

The summit brought together a faculty of seventeen of the country’s leading doctors, psychiatrist, psychologists, and trial attorneys who specialize in treating and representing persons who have sustained traumatic brain injuries. It was a great event, although I'm happy to be back in New Jersey, where it is much warmer...a steamy 40 degrees!
