Brain Injury and Substance Abuse: A Dangerous Mix
The Brain Injury Association of New Jersey in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Disability Services will present a free seminar entitled, Brain Injury and Substance Abuse: A Dangerous Mix. The seminar will be held on two occasions: the first will be held June 2, 2011from 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM at the JFK Conference Center in Edison, New Jersey; and the second will be held June 7, 2011from 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM at the Cherry Hill Library in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
The seminar will cover topics such as:
- Brain injury and substance abuse – theoretical perspective on a co-occurring disorder
- State services for people with brain injuries
- Substance abuse treatment approaches for TBI and co-occurring disorders
